The story behind our wine store

Vinum Ibiza was founded in 2014 by Goran Krstanovic, the face behind the company. “After 22 years of experience in gastronomy, I decided to take my passion to the next level by embarking on a new path. Earning my sommelier title in 2006 opened doors to some of the finest restaurants in the world. In recent years, I have dedicated myself to the highest level of gastronomy in Ibiza, putting all my wine knowledge into practice. This journey has allowed me to build valuable relationships within the wine and gastronomy industries, not only in Ibiza but also on mainland Spain.

Driven by my passion for wine, I embarked on this exciting journey to offer high-quality wines from small, national, and international producers, with a focus on biodynamic wines that showcase character and diversity. We also provide exceptional champagnes and sparkling wines, previously unknown in the Ibizan market. This project centers on wineries that, while successful in other countries, have yet to be represented on the island. At the same time, we offer some of the finest and most exclusive international wines at highly competitive prices. We invite you to join us in discovering a new world of outstanding wines.”

Jaime Lucero has been a Sommelier and Representative at our company since its early days. He entered the world of wine almost by chance. After living and working in some of the best venues in London, UK, as a bartender, he decided in 2011 to change everything and move to Ibiza, where he began to explore and immerse himself in the world of wine more professionally. He studied and learned about this fantastic field, first in Italy and then more formally in Spain, where he acquired the necessary tools to turn wine into his passion. His knowledge and experience continue to grow at Vinum Ibiza. In 2015, Goran Krstanovic invited him to join this wonderful project, and after many years of hard work and dedication, he is now recognised on the island as a top professional, able to meet the diverse needs of our clients, always following the Vinum Ibiza philosophy.

Brice Michaud, the newest member of the Vinum Ibiza team, was born in Lyon, France. After spending much of his childhood in Burgundy, he trained and worked as a sommelier, starting as an assistant sommelier in Bordeaux, then working as a sommelier in restaurants in Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Provence) and Lisbon (Portugal). He later moved to Madrid, where he continued working as Head Sommelier and manager in restaurants and wine bars in the capital. Questioning, perfecting, and tasting are his mottos for maintaining high standards in his profession. Thanks to his accumulated experience, his daily motivation is to guide, share, help, and advise hospitality professionals on the island of Ibiza.
