Weingut Bründlmayer


With 70 hectares in the Kamptal region, Willi Bründlmayer is the largest wine producer in Austria. He is famous for his magnificent Riesling, but also for the exceptional wines he creates from the local variety, Grüner Veltliner, producing whites with great personality. The Alte Reben vineyard, over fifty years old, is one of Bründlmayer's most treasured assets. Weingut Bründlmayer is located in Langenlois, about 70 km northwest of Vienna. Bründlmayer does not de-stem the grapes and presses them very slowly to achieve a natural short maceration. Thanks to low yields, his wines have sufficient alcohol potential that he never needs to resort to chaptalization. Additionally, he works in the most natural way, fermenting the musts with his own yeasts.

The history of Clusel-Roch winery begins in 1935 when Baptiste Clusel, a farmer from the Rhône Valley, sold his wine production to local merchants, along with pears and apricots, as was the tradition in the region. It wasn’t until 1969 that René and his son Gilbert began to passionately and conscientiously work their massal selection vineyards, eventually converting them to biodynamics in 1984. Today, Guillaume Clusel vinifies wines with distinct identities in the best terroirs of Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie, focusing on low extraction, where each vineyard plot expresses its own unique character and personality.

The Domaine de la Côte Sainte-Épine, located in the village of Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, exclusively produces wines from the Saint-Joseph appellation under the guidance of Mikael Desestret. It is a small, artisanal winery with a production of around 25,000 bottles. A portion of the vineyard once belonged to the legendary Raymond Trollat. No artificial additives or make-ups are used in the winery, allowing the old vines—ranging from 70 to 180 years old, many of which are pre-phylloxera—to truly express themselves in the wines.

Bodegas Hispano-Suizas belongs to the Utiel-Requena DO (Denomination of Origin), a region known for its ideal climate for producing high-quality, Mediterranean-style grapes.
